Washington Capitals DFS Spin
Ilya Samsonov allowed three goals on 26 shots in Saturday’s 3-0 home loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Samsonov allowed a goal to Bryan Rust at 2:56 of the first period, and another to Rust just 0:26 into the second period. Newcomer Jeff Carter scored at 10:43 of the second, and that’s all the Pens could muster against Samsonov. However, the Capitals offense provided him with zero support, as Tristan Jarry was just a little bit better on this afternoon.
New York Rangers DFS Spin
Alexandar Georgiev allowed three goals on 25 shots in Saturday’s 3-0 road loss against the New York Islanders. Georgiev coughed up goals to Anthony Beauvillier and Mathew Barzal in the first period to fall behind 2-0, and Beauvillier struck again just 62 seconds into the second period. That was all the Islanders could muster against him, but the damage was already done and the offense provided him with no support against his counterpart Semyon Varlamov.
Capitals vs. Rangers Prediction
The Capitals are 0-4 in their last four road games in this series and are 2-6 in their last eight games versus the Rangers overall. The home team has won seven of the last nine meetings between these two teams, while the Rangers have won nine of their last 12 games at Madison Square Garden.
