New Jersey Devils DFS Spin
Mackenzie Blackwood saved 27 of 28 shots in a 2-1 overtime win against Boston Saturday afternoon. Blackwood surrendered a shorthanded goal in the second period, but he otherwise had a perfect game. He improved to 1-0-1 on the season.
New York Rangers DFS Spin
Artemi Panarin registered two goals in Saturday’s 5-0 victory against the New York Islanders. Panarin scored his first on an even-strength tally late in the first period on a pass from Brendan Smith, and he put a button on the scoring with a power-play marker at 15:56 of the third period. There’s something about facing the Islanders that really gets Panarin going, as he went for three goals, five assists and a plus-7 rating in three meetings against the Isles during the 2019-20 season. Next up is a date against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. He had a goal and three points in four meetings vs. NJD last season.
Devils vs. Rangers Prediction
The over is 16-6-6 in the last 28 meetings between these two teams and is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings at Madison Square Garden. The over is also 6-1 in the Devils’ last seven games playing on two days of rest and is 4-1 in the Rangers’ last five games coming off a win. The over is 9-3-1 in New York’s last 13 games after scoring five goals or more in its previous game, as well.
