Carter Hart allowed four goals on 24 shots in Monday’s 5-4 OT win over the New York Rangers. This wasn’t the prettiest of wins for the Flyers, but they still got the job done. They jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one period, but fell behind 3-2 in the second and 4-3 in the third. In the end, they got an OT winner from Jakub Voracek and that’s all that counts. Hart has struggled throughout this season and although this wasn’t his most dominant performance, it’s still a step in the right direction. He has a 7-6-3 record with a 3.62 goals-against-average and a .884 save percentage this season. His three-game losing streak is over.
New York Rangers DFS Spin
Artemi Panarin picked up a goal and two assists in Monday’s 5-4 OT loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. The Rangers were down 2-0 heading into the second frame when Panarin helped get them back in the game. He got them on the board at the 8:21 mark of the frame and he followed that up by assisting on goals by Colin Blackwell and Julien Gauthier. Panarin finished the game with a plus-2 rating and two shots on goal in 21:20 of ice time. The 29-year-old has four points in two games since returning from a leave of absence. He now has six goals and 16 assists in 16 games this season. Panarin is still one of the most dynamic wingers in the game.
Flyers vs. Rangers Prediction
The Flyers are 11-2 in their last 13 meetings with the Rangers and are a perfect 5-0 in their last five games in this series at Madison Square Garden. They’re also 7-3 in their last 10 road games, 40-15 in their last 55 games as a favorite and are 23-7 in their last 30 games as a road favorite. The Rangers, meanwhile, have dropped six of their last eight home games, are 1-4 in their last five games overall and are 0-7 in their last seven games when playing the third game of a 3-in-4 situation.
