Marc-Andre Fleury has been added to the NHL’s COVID protocol list. Fleury is having a superb season and Robin Lehner (upper body) is still working his way back from injury, so hopefully he doesn’t remain unavailable to Vegas for very long. Consider him day-to-day for now. He won’t be permitted to practice or play until he is cleared. Fleury has a 12-5-0 record this season with a 1.73 goals-against average, a .938 save percentage and four shutouts.
St. Louis Blues DFS Spin
St. Louis has made the signing of Jordan Binnington to a six-year contract extension worth $36 million official. Binnington is playing in his third season with the Blues in the second campaign of a two-year, $8.8 million contract. He agreed to that deal after he helped backstop the Blues to a Stanley Cup championship in 2019. Binnington has posted a 63-24-11 record, a 2.38 goals-against average, a .915 save percentage and eight shutouts over 102 regular-season games. Binnington hasn’t been as successful this year as he was in his previous two seasons. Still, this deal locks him up as the team’s No. 1 netminder for the long term and it will prevent him from testing unrestricted free agency this off-season.
Golden Knights vs. Blues Prediction
The over is a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams and has cashed in four of the Golden Knights’ last five games as a favorite. The over is also 8-2 in the Blues’ last 10 games as a home underdog, is 4-1 in their last five games as an underdog either home or away and is 7-2 in their last nine games after scoring two goals or less in their previous contest.
