Kings Fantasy Spin
Jonathan Quick came up with 20 saves on 23 shots during Wednesday’s 4-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday. Quick made some impressive saves in the early goings, but Tampa found its game in the second period, and Steven Stamkos turned in a three-point performance. Quick has allowed three goals or less in six consecutive starts, but he doesn’t need to be owned in fantasy circles. The combination of the 34-year-old’s own decline and a weak supporting cast has sapped his fantasy value all season, and that seems unlikely to change at this point.
Coyotes Fantasy Spin
Antti Raanta surrendered four goals on 32 shots during a 4-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. Raanta has had something of an up-and-down season, and he’s on a bit of a cold streak, having given up 13 goals in his last three games. The 30-year-old has played well enough to keep the ship from sinking during Darcy Kuemper’s absence, but he’ll undoubtedly be relegated to a backup role whenever Kuemper makes his return. For fantasy purposes, Raanta is a decent spot starter in the right matchup.
