Tampa Bay Lightning DFS Spin
Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 33 shots in Thurday’s 4-3 overtime win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 6. Tampa had a solid 2-0 lead midway through the second frame when Matthews got one by Vasilevskiy on a tip and then John Tavares snuck a couple by the Russian netminder in a 26 second span to finish the period. Vasilevskiy hasn’t quite looked like himself at times during this series but he’s gotten his team to within one win of advancing to the next round. The Lightning will be looking to be the latest team to knock the Leafs out of the opening round of the series.
Toronto Maple Leafs DFS Spin
John Tavares scored a couple of goals in Thursday’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6. The Leafs found themselves down a couple of goals in the second frame when they just hit another gear led by Auston Matthews and Tavares who scored back-to-back goals in a span of 26 seconds to close out the second period with a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately for the Leafs, back-to-back high-sticking calls led to Tampa forcing OT where Brayden Point scored the winner. The Leafs are now 0-8 in the Matthews/Marner era in games with an attempt to close out a series. This has all set up a do-or-die Game 7 on Saturday.
Lighting vs. Maple Leafs Betting Prediction
The over is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams, is 5-1 in the Lightning’s last six road games and is 18-5 in the Bolts’ last 23 games overall. On the other side, the over is 43-16-7 in the Maple Leafs’ last 66 games overall, is 33-414-6 in their last 53 games as a favorite and is 6-2-1 in their last nine games versus a team with a winning percentage above .600.
