Frederik Andersen turned aside 31 of 32 shots in Monday’s 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks. Andersen was really good for the Leafs in this game. The Leafs were outshot 27-7 through two periods and the score was tied heading into the third frame mainly because of Anderson. The 31-year-old has won each of his last three games (all against the Canucks). He owns an 8-2-1 record with a 2.65 goals-against-average and a .904 save percentage this season. Andersen will continue to be a quality fantasy option whenever he’s between the pipes.

Jeff Petry was the third star of the week with four goals and two assists in four games. The defenseman has been terrific this season and has six goals and 14 points in 12 games and was a plus-seven in four games last week to give him an NHL-high plus-14 rating with teammate Joel Edmundson. “Since the day I got here, I’ve seen Jeff Petry continue to become a better player all the time,” head coach Claude Julien said. “Every year, he’s gotten better. Whether it’s from more responsibility, whether it’s from experience, maturity, whatever it is, he’s developed himself into a really, really good two-way hockey player. He’s proven that this year again. He proved it in the playoffs … I thought he might have been arguably our best D back there on both sides of the puck, offensively and defensively.”
Maple Leafs vs. Canadiens Prediction
The Maple Leafs are just 1-4 in their last five games versus the Canadiens and have lost 11 of their last 14 meetings with the Habs in Montreal. The Canadiens, meanwhile, have won six of their last eight games, are 5-2 in their last seven games after allowing two goals or less in their previous game and are a perfect 4-0 in their last four games when their opponent allowed two goals or less in their previous contest.
