According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Panthers are now -147 money line favorites for tonight’s game after opening with -155 odds. As for the Islanders, they’re +133 to pull off the upset after opening at +140 on the money line. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 5 goals.
Bet Tonight’s Islanders vs. Panthers Game
Roberto Luongo struggled mightily in Game 1 last night, allowing five goals on 26 shots in the 5-4 loss to the Islanders. He had allowed just five goals just twice during the regular season but it was a night to forget for the veteran. Despite the loss and the fact that tonight will be his second in game in as many days, Luongo will start between the pipes for Game 2.
Thomas Greiss will also start again tonight after he had a busy night. He had to turn aside 42 of 46 shots in the 5-4 victory and made some key stops, including a sprawling pad save on a Jaromir Jagr shot in the final minutes to preserve the win for his team.

OUR PICK: The Panthers are still 5-2 in their last seven games despite the loss last night. They’re also 19-9 in their last 28 home games while the Islanders are just 8-20 in their last 28 conference quarterfinals games. We’re willing to bet that Luongo won’t have two bad starts in a row.
