The 55th NHL All-Star Game is actually the culmination of five days of “NHL All-Star Celebration” which began Saturday.
Dallas has gone all out in planning the festivities. The entrance to the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Stars, has been transformed to feature a variety of free events, exhibits and displays that will be open to the public. The list of activities includes a Celebrity All-Star Cook-off, the ceremonial arrival of the Stanley Cup with members of the 1999 Stanley Cup Champion Stars, plus the red-carpet arrivals of the NHL All-Stars and YoungStars.

Sharing the stage in Dallas with the best NHL players in the world will be a line-up of top music performers, including country music stars Big and Rich and The Wreckers, funk/pop artists Robert Randolph & The Family Band and rock band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
"This year’s event is a terrific celebration of the Stars’ 13-year history in the city of Dallas," said Ken Yaffe, NHL Senior Vice President of Business Affairs.
"We’re very excited about everything surrounding the 2007 NHL All-Star Celebration," said Stars President Jim Lites. "We wanted to have more events and make this bigger than it has ever been.”
A benefit concert featuring Robert Randolph & the Family Band was held on Sunday at Gilley’s in downtown Dallas to support The Leary Firefighters Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by actor Denis Leary. The Foundation is dedicated to providing fire departments around the country, including the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department, with funding and resources to obtain the highest level of equipment, training and technology.
