NHL Season to be Cancelled?
(The Spread) – Will the 2012-13 NHL Season be cancelled? The odds certainly suggest it will.
With a lockout drawing ever closer, the NHL and its players’ union are in touch with each other after a day of internal meetings.
But no new negotiating sessions are scheduled one day before Commissioner Gary Bettman has said he will lock out the players. This would be the NHL’s fourth work stoppage since 1992.
Will the NHL cancel any regular season games in the 2012-13 season? The odds for “Yes” are currently sitting at 1/10 while the odds for “No” are listed at 6/1, suggesting that at least some part of the 2012-13 hockey season will be ruined.

Will the entire 2012-13 NHL season be cancelled because of a lockout? The odds for “Yes” are 2/1 while the odds for “No” are 1/3. The odds for whether or not the NHL will cancel the 2012-13 Winter Classic are 1/1 for yes and 4/7 for no.
In a lockout-related prop, oddsmakers ask whether or not Penguins’ star Sidney Crosby will play in Europe at any point during the 2012-13 season. The odds for yes are 2/1 while the odds for no are 1/3.
