Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Sharks -125 favorites in the matchup and the Red Wings are listed as +105 underdogs. The over-under is set at 5.5.
After falling behind in the series 3-0 and being written off by most experts and even some of its own fans, Detroit fought back to win the last three games including Game 6 by a 3-1 final at Joe Louis Arena to force tonight’s Game 7.
The Sharks took a 1-0 lead in the third period Tuesday on a goal by Logan Couture, but an equalizer in the 11th minute of the period on a redirection by Henrik Zetterberg gave the Red Wings new life. Valtteri Filppula added the go-ahead goal moments later and then Darren Helm finished it off with an empty netter.
According to the latest NHL trends, San Jose is 13-10 against the spread versus Detroit over the last three seasons. Fourteen of 23 games in this series have gone over the total during the last three seasons.
Latest NHL playoff public betting information shows that of the 7,678 bets on tonight’s game, 53 percent are on the Red Wings +105.
