Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Canucks –125 money line favorites over the Predators, who are +115 on the ML. The over/under total for this game is currently 5 goals.
This series has been back-and-forth from the start. The Canucks beat the Predators 1-0 in Game 1 of the series, but lost in overtime 2-1 in Game 2. When it looked like Vancouver would put Nashville out of its misery by rattling off back-to-back wins in Games 3 and 4, the Predators answered back in Game 5 with a 4-3 victory.
Joe Ward and David Legwand each scored twice for Nashville in that game, while Mike Fisher and Jordin Tootoo had an assist apiece. Goaltender Pekka Rinne saved 31 of 34 shots for Nashville, while Roberto Luongo had a rare off night by allowing four of the 23 shots he faced to reach the back of the net.
NHL Playoff Free Pick: Take the Canucks. The road team has dominated in this series, winning all four of the previous outings. According to latest NHL trends, Vancouver is also 8-2 in its last 10 trips to Nashville, while the Predators are 1-5 in their last six games following a victory. Nashville is also 0-4 in its last four games as a home underdog and 8-18 in its last 26 playoff games as a dog. The Predators have kept things close and made this a series, but they don’t play with enough consistency to make me believe they’ll get past Vancouver tonight. And at –125 on the money line, the top-seeded Canucks are being offered at a decent price.
