Bet NHL Action For Thursday, March 15, 2018

LINE MOVEMENT

Boston opened as a -120 favorite before the line inched closer, while the over-under has remained at 5.5 goals. The Bruins can now be bet anywhere from -122 to -110, while Florida ranges from -112 to +112. The total can be found at either 5.5 or 6 goals depending on the sportsbook.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Thursday afternoon, 52 percent of public bets are siding with the Panthers. Online wager info also shows that 53 percent of public bets are being placed on the under.

INJURY TO WATCH

Bruins defenseman Torey Krug (undisclosed) is questionable tonight. Left winger Jake DeBrusk (upper body) and defenseman Zdeno Chara (upper body) are both out. Center Patrice Bergeron (foot) is out until late March, while defenseman Charlie McAvoy (knee) is out until early April. Left winger Anders Bjork (shoulder) is out for the season.

BETTING STRATEGY

Boston is dealing with a lot of injuries right now, particularly on defense but also with a top offensive playmaker in Bergeron. Although the Bruins have won the last five meetings, having so many pieces out against a Florida team that has won eight of its last 10 with an overtime and a shootout loss the only blemishes is a tough task. I like the Panthers, 21-10-1-2 at home this season, to get the job done here.
