Predators vs. Canucks Pick

Do the Vancouver Canucks stand a chance at home when they play the Nashville Predators tonight at 10PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Predators are listed as a -150 favorite on the spread line. The Canucks are a +130 underdog, while the total is set at 5.5 goals.

Nashville is 18-7-1-3 on the season after a 4-3 home shootout loss to the Golden Knights on Friday night. Vancouver comes in at 14-13-2-2 following a 5-1 loss Monday at the Jets. Vancouver won the first meeting by a 5-3 count in Nashville on Nov. 30. The four meetings since the start of last season are split 2-2, while the over-under has also gone 2-2.

The Predators were led by Viktor Arvidsson with a goal and an assist in the loss to Las Vegas. Nick Bonino and Calle Jarnkrok both recorded a goal. Pekka Rinne made 36 saves on 39 shots. Nashville took the lead with 5:04 remaining on a goal by Bonino, but the Golden Knights evened the score with 40 seconds remaining. Las Vegas went on to win the shootout, 1-0.

Vancouver was paced by Brock Boeser as he tied the score at 1-1 with 13:07 left in the first period. Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin assisted on the score. Winnipeg proceeded to score two unanswered goals in both the second and third periods. Jacob Markstrom recorded 19 saves on 24 shots to take the loss.

The home team is 5-1 in the last six meetings. The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Vancouver.

Bet on Predators vs. Canucks

Vancouver didn’t look good at all in the loss at the Jets. Although it can take solace in the fact it is playing on home ice tonight, this is a hard team to trust right now. Nashville is playing solid hockey and will want to set the record straight after letting one slip through the cracks against the Golden Knights, although it did still record a point. Take the visitors to secure the win tonight.
