Oilers vs. Blues Pick

Are the Edmonton Oilers going to upset the host St. Louis Blues tonight at 8PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Blues are a -145 favorite to win on the moneyline. The Oilers are a +115 underdog, while the over-under is set at 5.5.

Edmonton is 7-11-2 on the season after a 6-3 loss at the Stars on Saturday. St. Louis comes in at 15-5-1 after a 4-3 overtime win at the Canucks. The Blues won the previous meeting this season by a count of 4-1 at the Oilers. Edmonton won all three meetings last season and the last four games have gone under the total.

In the loss at Dallas, Drake Caggiula led the way with two goals. Connor McDavid also had a goal and dished out two assists. Cam Talbot allowed six goals on 21 shots. Edmonton took a 3-2 lead early in the second period before giving up four unanswered goals.

Joel Edmundson, Colton Parayko, Brayden Schenn and Vladimir Sobotka had a goal apiece in the Blues’ win at Vancouver. Paul Stastny accounted for three assists, while Vince Dunn added two assists. Jake Allen made 20 saves on 23 shots. Edmundson tied it at 3-3 in the third period before Schenn won it in overtime.

The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings. Edmonton is 3-10 in the last 10 meetings in St. Louis.

Bet on Oilers vs. Blues

Edmonton has not started the season off on the right foot at all and giving up six goals on only 21 shots at Dallas is a disastrous effort. St. Louis likely won’t score six goals in this one, but the Blules are also a better defensive team and the Oilers will struggle to put the puck past Allen.
