Kings vs. Blackhawks Pick

Are the host Chicago Blackhawks going to be too much for the Los Angeles Kings to handle tonight at 7PM ET?

Oddsmakers at sports book Bovada.lv have not released moneyline or totals odds for this game yet. Check back later this afternoon for an update.

Los Angeles enters with a 16-8-3 record after a 4-1 win at the Blues Friday night. Chicago is 12-9-3 following a 4-3 home overtime loss to the Stars Thursday night. The Kings went 2-1 in three meetings last season. The under went 2-0-1.

In the victory at St. Louis, Tyler Toffoli led the way with a pair of goals. Adrian Kempe and Anze Kopitar had a goal apiece. Jake Muzzin and Tanner Pearson each dished out two assists. Darcy Kuemper saved 39 of 40 shots to notch the win. Los Angeles notched a 2-0 lead in the first period and never relented.

The Blackhawks were paced by Patrick Kane with a goal and an assist in the defeat against Dallas. Artem Anisimov and Alex DeBrincat each scored a goal. Nick Schmaltz recorded two assists. Corey Crawford made 31 saves on 35 shots to take the loss. Chicago tied it with a Kane goal early in the third period before giving up the game-winner to Dallas in the first minute of overtime.

In the last eight meetings, the home team has won seven times. Los Angeles is 4-1 in the last five meetings.

Bet on Kings vs. Blackhawks

Los Angeles has had some recent success in the series and overall is playing the better hockey. Jonathan Quick will be back in net and this will be viewed as a statement game on the road against another Western Conference contender. I like the Kings here.
