LINE MOVEMENT

St. Louis opened as a -145 favorite before the line went down, while the total has remained at 5.5 goals. The Blues are between a -135 and -145 favorite, while the Sharks range from a +115 to a +125 underdog. The total is 5.5 everywhere.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Tuesday afternoon, 59 percent of public bets are coming in on the Blues. Online wager info also states that 66 percent of bets are being placed on the under.

INJURY TO WATCH

Sharks center Eric Fehr (lower body) and right winger Joonas Donskoi (upper body) are both questionable to play tonight. Defenseman Joakim Ryan (upper body) is out until early April. Center Joe Thornton (knee) is out indefinitely. For the Blues, goaltender Carter Hutton (neck) is probable. Right winger Nikita Soshnikov (upper body) is questionable, while right winger Scottie Upshall (knee) is doubtful. Defenseman Carl Gunnarsson (lower body), defenseman Jay Bouwmeester (hip) and center Robby Fabbri (knee) are all out for the season.

BETTING STRATEGY

San Jose has won both meetings this season, winning 3-2 in St. Louis on Feb. 20 and 2-0 on its home ice March 8. But after winning 4-3 in a shootout at the Blackhawks last night, the Sharks are the much less rested team here as the Blues won their fifth consecutive game three nights ago with a 2-1 victory at the Blue Jackets. I’m going to go with the hotter and fresher team in St. Louis here.
