Sidney Crosby found the back of the net during Monday’s 7-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Crosby’s power-play goal at the 2:30 mark of the third period cut the Penguins’ deficit to 4-1 at the time. Pittsburgh was able to make it 4-2 thanks to Jason Zucker, but that’s as close as they’d come to making it a game. Crosby finished the night with a minus-4 rating and four shots on goal in 20:10 of ice time. The 33-year-old now snapped his three-game point-less drought and he now has 21 goals and 36 assists in 52 games in 2021.
Philadelphia Flyers DFS Spin
Claude Giroux picked up two goals and one assist in Monday’s 7-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Giroux did most of his damage in the first period, as he helped set up Shayne Gostisbehere’s power-play goal (2-0) before adding one of his own (3-0) just over a minute later. He also added an empty-netter with just over two minutes remaining in regulation. Giroux finished the night with a plus-2 rating and four shots on goal in 21:42 of ice time. The 33-year-old had three points in his previous seven games, so it was good to see him produce a lot on Monday. He has 16 goals and 39 points in 50 games this season.
