Penguins secure sixth win in a row
Pittsburgh claimed its sixth straight victory Monday night with a 3-2 triumph at Minnesota. The Wild took a 1-0 lead in the first period, but the Penguins (21-12-6) responded with a pair of goals later in the period. Sidney Crosby evened the score at 1-1 on a power play goal, his 18th of the season, off assists from Phil Kessel and Kris Letang. Kessel then scored with 21 seconds left in the first period off assists from Crosby and Zach Aston-Reese. Riley Sheahan made it a 3-1 score midway through the second period on assists from Kessel and Matt Cullen. Casey DeSmith recorded 31 saves on 33 shots in the winning effort.
Rangers prevail at Blues
New York earned a 2-1 victory at St. Louis Monday night, its second win in a row. The Rangers (17-14-7) allowed a goal midway through the first period to go down 1-0, but responded with 20 seconds left in the first on a power play goal from Mats Zuccarello. Chris Kreider assisted on the score. Boo Nieves scored what turned out to be the game-winner 3:11 into the second period off assists from Ryan Strome and Kevin Shattenkirk. Henrik Lundqvist made 39 saves on 40 shots to post the win.

Prediction:
Pittsburgh is on a mission right now to bounce back from its rough start this season and are red-hot right now. Even on the road, their matchup at the Rangers doesn’t scare me. The Penguins are still scoring at a nice clip while getting better play on the defensive end. Go with the favored visitors.
