Guentzel scores two more
Pittsburgh forward Jake Guentzel scored two goals in the Game 4 3-1 victory to even the series at two games apiece. He now has 10 goals in the postseason as he is making a statement on adding his name to the Penguins’ list of star players. Evgeni Malkin added the other goal in the victory.
Oshie, Letang fight at end of Game 4
Pittsburgh defenseman Kris Letang was not thrilled by a high hit from Washington forward TJ Oshie late in Game 4 and the two dropped gloves. It showed how heated this series is as the Penguins have had the Capitals’ number this year and the Oshie hit looked to be somewhat out of frustration. Oshie was not suspended for the hit, unlike teammate Tom Wilson who will sit out two more games after being suspended for three following an illegal hit.
NHL Betting Trends
Pittsburgh
The under is 3-0-2 in the last five Penguins games following a win. The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
Washington
The Capitals are 6-2 in their last eight games. The under is 5-0 in the last five meetings in Washington.
Prediction:
Washington needs a big win like this as if it falls behind 3-2 with the series headed back to Pittsburgh for Game 6, it will be in big trouble. But I’m going to take the tried and true route and say Pittsburgh is still going to get the best here, similar to how the Cleveland Cavaliers have the Toronto Raptors number in the NBA.
NHL DAILY PREDICTION: WASHINGTON CAPITALS -105
