Rangers sign Stoll to one-year deal
NEW YORK, NY (The Spread) – The Rangers have signed Jarret Stoll to a one-year contract according to Steve Zipay.
The deal is reportedly worth less than a million dollars according to Zipay, who covers the Rangers for Newsday. Stoll had his felony count of a drug possession charge reduced to two misdemeanors back in June. His sentence includes performing 32 hours of community service within 120 day, which has already started.
Stoll had six goals and 17 points in 73 games with the Kings last season. He’ll fill a role as a depth player for the Rangers and still excels at faceoffs.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Rangers are 10/1 to win the Stanley Cup Finals next year. The Blackhawks are favored to win next year’s Cup at 13/2 odds, while the Lightning are 8/1 and the Ducks and Kings are both 10/1, respectively. New York is also 19/4 to win the Eastern Conference.
