Artemi Panarin rejoined the New York Rangers in Boston on Wednesday and participated in the team’s practice. Coach David Quinn said afterward that Panarin won’t play on Thursday versus the Bruins. “We’re glad to have him back,” Quinn said. “When he’s going to play again, we don’t know.” Panarin seems fine physically, according to Quinn, but they want him to skate more. Panarin has missed eight games since taking a leave of absence from the team on Feb. 22. The Rangers forward and the organization vehemently denied accusations that he assaulted an 18-year-old woman in 2011 and those claims have been discredited.
Boston Bruins DFS Spin
Jaroslav Halak allowed one goal on 27 shots during Tuesday’s 2-1 shootout loss to the New York Islanders. The Bruins had a 1-0 lead after one period thanks to a power-play goal by David Pastrnak, but Brock Nelson managed to tie the game on the man-advantage in the second frame. Unfortunately for Boston, both Jordan Eberle and Anthony Beauvillier beat Halak in the shootout. The Bruins netminder owns a 5-2-2 record with a 2.08 goals-against-average and a .919 save percentage this season.
