Brayden Point (lower body) has been making progress, but he has been ruled out for Game 4 on Tuesday against the New York Rangers. Point skated with his teammates for the first time on Monday during an optional practice since he suffered a lower-body injury on May 14 in the first round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He will miss an eighth straight game on Tuesday. Coach Jon Cooper said before the Eastern Conference Final that Point wasn’t expected to play in the series, but the team would see how the Lightning center progresses and hope for the best.
New York Rangers DFS Spin
Igor Shesterkin turned aside 48 of 51 shots in Sunday’s 3-2 loss to Tampa Bay in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final. Shesterkin and the Rangers had a 2-0 lead just before the midway point of the contest, but the Lightning eventually broke through. He was excellent throughout the contest and faced 19 shots in the third period when his teammates only managed to get nine on target. Tampa Bay scored twice in the third and got the game winner with just 41.6 seconds remaining in regulation time. The Rangers hold a 2-1 series lead going into Game 4 on Tuesday night.
