Igor Shesterkin has been announced as a finalist for the Vezina Trophy. Shesterkin is the heavy frontrunner to win the award over the other nominees, Jacob Markstrom and Juuse Saros. Shesterkin had a 36-13-4 record, 2.07 GAA, and .935 save percentage in 53 contests. His GAA and save percentage were both the best in the league. He played such a big role in the Rangers’ regular season success that there’s been some talk of him being a finalist for the Hart Trophy too.
