Linus Ullmark allowed three goals on 21 shots in Thursday’s 3-1 loss to the Washington Capitals. Ullmark made an incredible diving paddle save off of Caps forward Conor Sheary in the first period, but he and his team still came up short tonight. The 27-year-old has dropped back-to-back starts and three of his last four games. He owns a 3-3-2 record to go along with a 2.69 goals-against-average and a .907 save percentage in 2021. His fantasy upside is limited by the fact that he plays on a team that doesn’t win many games.

Mackenzie Blackwood turned aside 25 of 27 shots in Thursday’s 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins. If it wasn’t for Blackwood, the Devils probably wouldn’t have come out of this game with two points. The 24-year-old had yet another spectacular performance and capped it off by robbing David Pastrnak of the tying goal in the dying moments of the third period. Blackwood has yet to lose a game in regulation yet this season. The young goaltender has a 4-0-1 record with a 1.94 goals-against average and a jaw-dropping .945 save percentage.
Sabres vs. Devils Prediction
The Sabres are just 2-8 in their last 10 meetings with the Devils in New Jersey and only 6-13 in the last 19 meetings between these two teams overall. They’re also winless in their last four games and just 16-51 in their last 67 road contests, while the home team in this series has cashed in six of the previous seven meetings. Finally, the Devils are 5-0 in their last five games as a favorite and 4-0 in their last four games as a home favorite.
