Ottawa Senators DFS Spin
Matt Murray made nine saves after replacing Marcus Hogberg in Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. After replacing Marcus Hogberg at the 3:53 mark of the second period, Murray only faced nine shots the rest of the way but was perfect and gave his team every chance they needed to climb back into the game. The goaltending switch sparked the Senators but they were facing an extremely hot goaltender on the other side of the ice in Mikko Koskinen. Murray finally seems to be finding a nice rhythm with the Senators. In his last four games, including Tuesday, Murray has a .947 save percentage. The 26-year-old still has a 2-6-1 record but slightly improved his stats and now owns a 3.63 goals-against average and a .886 save percentage.
Winnipeg Jets DFS Spin
Connor Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 29 shots in Tuesday’s 3-2 road setback against the Calgary Flames. Hellebuyck slips to 5-3-1 with a 2.55 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in his nine starts this season. While he has allowed three or fewer goals in each of his past four outings, he has just one win to show for his efforts. The Jets have provided just 10 total goals in his past four starts, which is a bit worrisome to his fantasy managers. He’ll look to bounce back Thursday in a favorable matchup against the Ottawa Senators.
Senators vs. Jets Prediction
The Senators are winless in their last five meetings with the Jets and are 1-4 in their last five trips to Winnipeg. The favorite in this series is also 5-0 in the last five meetings, while the Senators are just 13-39 in their last 52 games overall and 12-47 in their last 59 road games. Meanwhile, the Jets are 8-1 in their last nine games as a favorite and are 11-5 in their last 16 home games.
