Ottawa Senators Fantasy Spin
Marcus Hogberg coughed up five goals on 15 shots in Tuesday’s 5-2 road loss against the Anaheim Ducks. Hogberg saw his modest two-game winning streak snapped. He has allowed three or more goals in five of his past six appearances. The Senators will look to rebound Wednesday in Los Angeles, and it’s almost a certainty that Craig Anderson makes the start at Staples Center in the second end of the SoCal back-to-back.
Los Angeles Kings Fantasy Spin
Jonathan Quick allowed one goal on 22 shots in Monday’s 3-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche. Quick made a total of 21 saves and finished the night with a .955 save percentage. Quick posted an incredibly strong performance in this matchup, barely missing out on the shutout by giving up a goal off of a strange bounce to Pierre-Edouard Bellemare in the third period. Regardless, the Kings came out with a win that brings Quick’s season record up to 16-22-4. This also marks the third consecutive win for Quick, and he has not posted a regulation loss in his last six games.
Our Prediction
The under is 4-1-2 in the last seven meetings between these two teams, is 14-6 in the Senators’ last 20 games when they’re playing the second game of a back-to-back and is 5-2 in their last seven games against Western Conference competition. On the other side, the under is 5-1-1 in the Kings’ last seven home games, is 6-2 in their last eight games when favored and is 35-17-3 in their last 55 games overall.
Wednesday NHL Prediction: Senators/Kings UNDER 6
