Matt Murray allowed four goals in Thursday’s 4-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Murray made 21 saves on a total of 25 shots and finished the night with a .840 save percentage. This loss brings Murray’s season record down to 1-4-1. He has not had a great start to this season, as he has only cracked a .900 save percentage in one game so far. He has the worst GAA of any goalie in the league who has played three or more games with 4.39. He also has the lowest save percentage of any goalie who has played three or more games with .859.
Edmonton Oilers DFS Spin
Connor McDavid posted two goals with an assist in Saturday’s 4-3 overtime win against the Toronto Maple Leafs. McDavid posted his 10th assist of the season on Josh Archibald’s marker late in the first period to make it 2-1. He also struck on the power play to kick off the scoring in the second, and he registered the game winner in OT with help from former Leafs rearguard Tyson Barrie and Leon Draisaitl. The 24-year-old superstar has multi-point efforts in each of the past three, and he has two goals with nine points during his current five-game point streak. He’ll look to keep it cooking Sunday against the visiting Ottawa Senators.
