St. Louis Blues Fantasy Spin
Brayden Schenn dished out two assists in Thursday’s 4-0 win over Los Angeles. Schenn had the primary helper on goals by Vladimir Tarasenko and Ryan O’Reilly in the contest. He has one goal and three assists in two games since returning to the lineup from injury.
San Jose Sharks Fantasy Spin
Joe Thornton found the back of the net on Thursday. Thornton is on a three-game point streak and has only been held off the scoresheet once in his last five contests. He has 14 goals and 39 points in 58 contests this season.
Betting Trends
St. Louis
The Blues are 14-3 in their last 17 games when playing on one day of rest.
San Jose
The Sharks are a perfect 4-0 in their last four games when listed as a favorite.
Our Prediction
Even though the Blues have been one of the best teams in hockey since the start of January, this is a great price on a Sharks team that is 11-1-1 at home since Christmas Break. The Blues got a miraculous win in Anaheim on Wednesday night by scoring two goals in just over a minute to erase a one-goal deficit. The club then turned around and blanked the Kings 4-0 in L.A. on Thursday before getting a night off on Friday. Despite the Ducks and Kings’ struggles this year, those are two heavy, physical teams. The Sharks play a similar style but are much more explosive offensively and I see them picking up their fourth consecutive victory.
Saturday NHL Prediction: San Jose Sharks -135
