According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Nashville Predators are favored, as they have 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are the Boston Bruins (6/1), the Tampa Bay Lightning (6/1) and the Vegas Golden Knights (7/1).

The Predators are the top seed in the entire NHL Playoffs after going 53-18-11 this season and posting 117 points. Nashville had 267 goals while allowing just 211. The Preds are opening the playoffs against Colorado. Nashville has never won the Stanley Cup but did reach the final last season.

Tampa Bay is the top seed in the Eastern Conference after going 54-23-5 during the season for 113 points. The Lightning scored 296 goals while allowing 236. Tampa Bay starts the playoffs against New Jersey. The Lightning have won one Stanley Cup, which came back in 2004.

Boston finished second in the East with 112 points after going 50-20-12. The Bruins scored 270 goals this season while allowing 214. Boston will open the playoffs against Toronto. The Bruins have won the Stanley Cup six times, last doing so in 2011.

The Vegas Golden Knights are quite a story. The expansion team managed to win the Pacific Division in its first season of existence. The Knights went 51-24-7 and posted 109 points. They have 272 goals while allowing 228. Vegas will face Los Angeles in the first round of the playoffs.
