Anton Khudobin turned aside 49 of 51 shots in Monday’s 3-1 loss to the Florida Panthers. The Stars were back on the ice for the first time since Feb. 13 because of the freezing temperatures that hit Texas over the last few days. They came out strong, as Blake Comeau opened the scoring in the first period but they were a step behind the high-flying Panthers after that. Khudobin did everything he could to keep his team in the game, but it’s tough to do that when your team allows you to face more than 50 shots in regulation time. Khudobin has a 3-4-1 record with a 2.66 goals-against-average and a .915 save percentage this season. He’s dropped five consecutive decisions.
Florida Panthers DFS Spin
Chris Driedger allowed one goal on 25 shots in Monday’s 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars. Driedger gave up a goal to Blake Comeau less than five minutes into the game, but he was perfect the rest of the way. The Panthers netminder has been one of the great surprises on the team this year, as he’s now won seven of his first nine outings. He owns a 7-1-1 record with a 2.20 goals-against-average and a .929 save percentage this season. Expect head coach Joel Quenneville to keep rolling with the hot hand even though Sergei Bobrovsky is the team’s $10 million goaltender.

The Stars are winless in their last six games overall, are 0-5 in their last five games when facing a team with a winning record and have dropped four straight when playing on one day of rest. On the other side, the Panthers have won four of their last five games overall, are 9-3 in their last 12 games as a favorite and have posted a 16-7 record in their last 23 games when facing an opponent with a losing record.
