Lightning skate past Canadiens
Tampa Bay recorded a 3-1 victory Tuesday night at Montreal to improve to 3-2-1 on the season. The Canadiens opened the scoring with 4:14 left in the first period, but the Lightning evened it up with seven seconds left in the first via a Brandon Coburn goal assisted by Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov. Stamkos gave Tampa Bay the lead 1:04 into the second period on a power play goal off assists from Victor Hedman and Kucherov. Tyler Johnson added a goal 57 seconds later on assists by Ondrej Palat and Ryan McDonagh. Andrei Vasilevskiy recorded 33 saves on 34 shots in the winning effort.
Pastrnak dominates with four-goal effort
David Pastrnak scored four goals Monday afternoon in a 4-2 home victory over Anaheim. Pastrnak opened the scoring in the first period via a power play goal on assists by Patrice Bergeron and Torey Krug. Pastrnak scored again with 8:28 remaining in the second period on a Brad Marchand assist to make it 2-0. The Ducks trimmed it back to 2-1 later in the second, but Pastrnak pushed it back to a two-goal lead as he secured his hat trick 2:20 into the third. Pastrnak scored his fourth goal on the power play two-plus minutes later to extend the advantage to 4-1 as Marchand and Krug assisted. Anaheim cut it to 4-2 later but that was as close as it would get. Jaroslav Halak made 30 saves on 32 shots in the victory.

Prediction:
Boston is capable of playing shutdown hockey and frustrating the best of opponents and I think it gets the win here against a Tampa Bay team that is playing decent but is not yet clicking on all cylinders. The Bruins are very tough at home and have an extra day of rest coming in here. Look for Pastrnak and company to post another victory.
