Tampa Bay lost at home by a score of 3-2 Saturday night against Carolina to drop to 12-9-3 on the season. The Lightning trailed 3-0 in the third period before Brayden Point pulled the hosts to within two goals on a power play tally with 16:34 remaining assisted by Nikita Kucherov and Victor Hedman. Tyler Johnson made it 3-2 five-plus minutes later on assists from Anthony Cirelli and Mikhail Sergachev, but Tampa Bay was unable to find the equalizer. Curtis McElhinney took the loss as he surrendered three goals on 24 shots.

NHL Betting Trends
Tampa Bay
The Lightning are 1-7 in their last eight meetings in Nashville. The road team is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
Nashville
The Predators are 13-3 in the last 16 meetings. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings.
Prediction:
Both teams will have their No. 1 goalie going here and with the Lightning struggling with consistency, I see this as a good spot for the Predators to put together a nice offensive effort after being shutout over the weekend. Look for Nashville to lock down defensively and get some timely offense to secure a win. It also doesn’t hurt that the Preds have dominated this series in recent years.
