Zach Parise scored a goal in Friday’s 9-1 loss against the St. Louis Blues. Parise cleaned up a rebound in front of the net off a shot from Carson Soucy to cut the Blues lead down to 2-1 at the 7:33 mark of the first period. Unfortunately for the Wild it would be the only goal they’d score as they got completely embarrassed by the Blues. Parise finished the game with a minus-1 rating and three shots on goal in 12:53 of ice time. The 36-year-old veteran has four goals and 10 assists in 31 games this season.
St. Louis Blues DFS Spin
Jordan Binnington turned aside 24 shots in Friday’s 9-1 win over the Minnesota Wild. The Blues could’ve had anyone between the pipes and they still would’ve thrashed the Wild. However, Binnington still showed up to play and made his best save of the night in the first period by flashing the leather on Kevin Fiala to keep the score 1-0 at that point. The 27-year-old improves his record to 12-11-5 with a 2.65 goals-against average and .910 save percentage.
Wild vs. Blues Prediction
The Wild are now 1-4 in their last five meetings with the Blues and are 2-6 in their last eight road games versus St. Louis. The Blues are also 4-1 in their last five games when their opponent allowed five goals or more in its previous contest and 11-5 in their last 16 games after scoring five goals or more in their previous game, as they did last night in their 9-1 victory.
