Oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI currently list the Flames as +108 money line underdogs after their line opened at -155, while the Wild is -128 after opening at -105. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 5 goals.
Minnesota has gone over in four straight and six of seven games and won on Monday, 5-2 over Vancouver on the road. That victory broke an eight-game winless streak for the Wild.
As for Calgary, the team lost two straight after winning three in a row and they have gone over in three of their last four games. It doesn’t help that the Flames own the NHL’s worst efficiency rate on the penalty kill at 73.4 percent.
The over is also 4-1-3 in the last eight meetings between these two teams.
