Jared Spurgeon (lower body) doesn’t have a short-term injury, per coach Dean Evason. The Wild bench boss added that Spurgeon does not need surgery. He re-aggravated a lower-body injury on Thursday night that kept him out for eight games previously. Spurgeon, who won’t play on Monday, is not likely to be available for Thursday’s match against Detroit.

John Klingberg scored the game-winner in overtime Saturday. Klingberg’s first goal of the season came on the power play to give Dallas a 4-3 win over Chicago. Klingberg also chipped in with an assist and has 13 points in 25 games this season. Klingberg is eligible to become an UFA at the end of the season and it is possible the Stars deal him around the trade deadline if they get their asking price.
