GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Colorado forward Paul Stastny, sidelined five weeks after an appendectomy, was activated Friday before the Avalanche’s game in Phoenix.
Stastny had his appendix removed Jan. 17, and missed 15 games. He also missed the NHL All-Star Game in Atlanta.
The 22-year-old Stastny is the Avalanche’s leading scorer with 39 points in 46 games. He has 17 goals.
