PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) -Gordie Howe has sued two former associates, saying they misappropriated hundreds of thousands of dollars from his marketing company.
The former hockey star’s lawsuit in Oakland County Circuit Court said Del Reddy of Auburn Hills and Aaron Howard of Kalamazoo also defamed him by saying his company was financially troubled.
The Associated Press left a message Thursday night for Reddy. Howard has no listing.
The suit says the men quit Howe’s marketing company, Power Play International, last year. The suit also claims about $338,000 Howe made from appearances from 2004 to 2006 went to Immortal Investments Inc. Immortal is an online celebrity merchandise company Reddy’s father Michael owns.
AP left a message with the company.
