Sidney Crosby had two assists in Pittsburgh’s 4-1 win over the New York Rangers on Monday, helping the Penguins win their sixth straight at home and improve to 9-0-1 in their last 10 games overall. Ty Conklin stopped 43 shots for Pittsburgh to run his record to 10-0-1 this season.

Evgeni Malkin scored three times to help Pittsburgh down the New York Rangers 4-1 on Monday and extend his point streak to six games. Malkin started his streak with a three-goal game against Toronto on Jan. 3.

ATLANTA-BOUND
Boston center Marc Savard was selected Monday to the Eastern Conference team for the NHL All-Star Game on Jan. 27 in Atlanta. Savard will take the place of Ottawa forward Dany Heatley, who is out four to six weeks after suffering a separated shoulder Saturday against Detroit. Savard leads the Bruins with 47 points on 11 goals and 36 assists.

Minnesota placed defenseman Sean Hill on injured reserve Monday with a sprained ankle. Hill, who was hurt in Friday’s game at Chicago, has two assists and 11 shots on goal in 21 games in his first season with the Wild.
