-Chuck Kobasew, Bruins, had a goal and an assist to help Boston sweep a home-and-home weekend series with a 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers.
FLYING
Scott Hartnell scored his 10th goal in the last seven games to help Philadelphia pound Ottawa 6-1 on Sunday for its fourth straight win and seventh in its last eight games. The Flyers have lost only once in regulation in their last 13 games (10-1-2).
FOURS WILD
Ben Guite, Tyler Arnason and Jeff Finger all tallied their fourth goals of the season to lift Colorado over Columbus 3-1 on Sunday. The Avalanche earned a split in the four-game season series with Columbus.
ROAD ROOKIE
Edmonton rookie Sam Gagner, the youngest player in the league at 18 years old, scored his fourth goal of the season to help the Oilers beat Atlanta 4-2 on Sunday and snap a three-game slide. All four of Gagner’s goals have come on the road.
SLUMPING SENS
Ottawa fell to Philadelphia 6-1 on Sunday for its second straight loss and fourth in five games. The Eastern Conference-leading Senators were without injured leading scorers Daniel Alfredsson and Dany Heatley.
SNAPPED
Dallas defeated Anaheim 5-2 on Sunday to end the Ducks’ six-game winning streak. … New Jersey squeaked past Toronto 3-2 to end a two-game skid on home ice and snap the Maple Leafs’ winning streak at three.
