-Alexander Radulov and Martin Gelinas, Predators, had two goals and an assist apiece in Nashville’s 6-3 victory over St. Louis.

HOWLING
Peter Mueller scored his 13th goal and extended his points streak to seven games as Phoenix matched its highest-scoring game of the season in a 6-2 win over Buffalo on Monday. The Coyotes improved to 17-0-0 when they score at least four goals.
STRONG IN SID’S ABSENCE
Evgeni Malkin had two goals and an assist but Pittsburgh fell to Washington 6-5 in a shootout on Monday. Malkin, who has 11 goals in the last 11 games, has tallied three goals and an assist in the Penguins’ first two games without reigning league MVP Sidney Crosby, who was placed on injured reserve Monday with a high-ankle sprain.

Nashville downed St. Louis 6-3 on Monday to hand the Blues their fifth straight loss.
ROAD WOES
Fourteen Coyotes registered at least one point in Phoenix’s 6-2 drubbing of Buffalo on Monday, the Sabres’ franchise record eighth consecutive road loss. Buffalo, which hasn’t won on the road since Dec. 22, has not scored a power play goal during its road skid.
SNAPPED
The Islanders blew a two-goal lead for the second straight game, losing to Carolina 3-2 in overtime on Monday. New York, which fell to 3-3-4 in its last 10, had been 15-0 when leading after two periods. … Pittsburgh fell to Washington 6-5 in a shootout, snapping its seven-game home ice winning streak against the Capitals. … Alexandre Burrows ended a 20-game goal drought, scoring his fifth goal of the season in Vancouver’s 4-2 loss to Minnesota. … Marian Gaborik had a six-game point streak snapped for the Wild.
