BEEN A WHILE
The Eastern Conference beat the Western Conference 8-7 on Sunday in a game without any penalties called. The last All-Star penalty came in the 2000 game when Sandis Ozolinsh was whistled for hooking. … San Jose’s Evgeni Nabokov stopped all eight shots he faced in the second period to become the first goalie to post a perfect period since Nikolai Khabibulin did it for the World team in 2002.
