Friday
-Chris Drury and Henrik Lundqvist, Rangers. Drury scored two goals and Lundqvist made 33 saves to lead New York past New Jersey 3-1.
-Henrik Zetterberg, Red Wings, broke a scoreless tie with 2:20 left and Detroit outlasted Colorado 2-0.
-Tobias Enstrom and Eric Perrin, Thrashers. Enstrom scored a power-play goal with 17 seconds left in regulation and Perrin had the decisive goal in the shootout and Atlanta rallied for a 5-4 win over Buffalo.
-Andy McDonald and Brad Boyes, Blues, scored in the shootout to give St. Louis a 1-0 win over Anaheim.
-Nathan Horton, Panthers, had the only goal in the shootout to help Florida edge Vancouver 4-3.
MILESTONE NIGHT
New York Rangers forwards Scott Gomez and Chris Drury both reached 500 career points in Friday night’s 3-1 win at New Jersey. Gomez, a former Devil, got the primary assist on Drury’s first goal of the game to reach his milestone. Drury got his on an empty-net goal in the final minute.
REMEMBER ME?
Andy McDonald, traded by Anaheim to St. Louis in mid-December for Doug Weight, scored in the first round of the shootout to ignite the Blues’ 1-0 win over the Ducks on Friday night. Weight, who had resisted the trade, received a standing ovation during a break in the first period when the video board zeroed in on him on the bench.
HOMECOMING SPOILED
Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo returned to Florida for the first time since being traded to the Canucks prior to the 2006-07 season and made 40 saves in regulation, but allowed the only tally of the shootout for a 4-3 loss on Friday night. It was the Panthers’ first win over Vancouver since Oct. 20, 1999.
SHUTOUTS
St. Louis’ Manny Legace stopped all 30 shots he faced in regulation and both Anaheim shootout attempts to seal a 1-0 win on Friday night. … Dominik Hasek made 15 saves for his 80th career shutout to lift Detroit to a 2-0 win over Colorado.
ONE-SIDED SERIES
The New York Rangers defeated New Jersey for the fifth time in as many meetings this season after a 3-1 win on Friday night.
BAD BOY
Nik Antropov is facing a three-game suspension after receiving two game misconducts at the end of Toronto’s 3-2 overtime loss at Carolina on Thursday. Antropov was called for hooking at 2:34 in overtime, leading to Rod Brind’Amour scoring a power-play winner for the Hurricanes. After the goal, Antropov was then assessed two game misconducts, which carries an automatic three game suspension. TSN reported on its Web site that the misconducts were for abusing the officials.
REWARDED
Forward J.P. Dumont signed a four-year, $16 million contract with Nashville on Friday. Dumont, in his second season with the Predators, ranks second on the team in goals (18), assists (27) and points (45). He currently has a franchise record 16-game point streak dating to Dec. 29.
WELCOME BACK
Dallas activated Jere Lehtinen for its game Friday night at Edmonton, ending his 33-game absence with an abdominal injury that led to sports hernia surgery. Lehtinen, who had been out since Nov. 21, had an assist in Friday night’s 4-1 win. The right wing now has 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) in 22 games this season.
TRADE
Columbus traded left wing Curtis Glencross to Edmonton for veteran defenseman Dick Tarnstrom on Friday.
SPEAKING
