-Martin Skoula, Wild, scored with 1:15 left in overtime to lift Minnesota over Los Angeles 2-1.
THRASHED
Pittsburgh rallied after giving away a two-goal lead to beat Atlanta 3-2 in a shootout on Sunday and extend the Thrashers’ losing streak to seven. The Thrashers are 0-4-3 in their last seven and 0-4-2 in their last six road games.
SHOOTOUT
Ales Hemsky scored the only goal of the shootout as Edmonton won its fourth consecutive game, slipping past the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 on Sunday night. Edmonton extended its NHL record for most shootout wins in a season to 14.
ROAD WOES
Los Angeles’ road losing streak reached nine games with Sunday’s 2-1 overtime loss to Minnesota.
SNAPPED
Detroit snapped a four-game losing streak Sunday with a 4-2 win over Buffalo. The Red Wings won for only the second time in their last 12 games (2-8-2).
