He entered the night tied with Theoren Fleury for most in the Atlanta-Calgary Flames franchise. Iginla ranks third in points (743) and was already the franchise leader in games played (847).

The New York Rangers won in the shootout for the second straight day on Monday night, beating Buffalo 3-2. The Rangers improved to 10-0-3 in their past 13 games, and move into a tie with Ottawa for fifth place in the East and within three points of conference-leading New Jersey.

Vancouver avoided a four-game season sweep to Los Angeles by rallying to beat the Kings 2-1 in overtime on Monday night. Ryan Kesler scored the tying goal with 2:41 left in regulation and scored again on a tip-in 46 seconds into the extra session. The Kings’ only season sweep of the Canucks was a four-game set in 1980-81.

Kristian Huselius scored for the first time in 21 games and Matthew Lombardi snapped a 20-game goalless drought in Calgary’s 7-3 win over St. Louis on Monday night.
