For the first time in team history, Ottawa has won the first two games of a series following a 4-3 double-overtime win over Buffalo in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals on Saturday night. The Senators, who improved to 10-2 this postseason, are within two wins of their first trip to the Stanley Cup finals. Ottawa next two games of the best-of-seven series are at home, where it is 4-1 so far in the playoffs.

HOLDING A LEAD
Top-seeded Buffalo squandered an early 2-0 lead in dropping a 4-3 double overtime loss to Ottawa Saturday night in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals. The Sabres, who had gone 40-0 in the regular season and 6-0 this postseason when holding a two-goal lead, had one of their best first-period performances of this postseason when they scored twice within the opening 7 minutes.
