The Red Wings outshot the Ducks 16-3 and scored three goals in the third period, but Anaheim held on for a 4-3 win Tuesday night to eliminate the Red Wings and advance to the Stanley Cup finals.

Anaheim is playing for the Stanley Cup for the second time in four seasons after beating Detroit 4-3 Tuesday night. The Ducks lost to New Jersey in seven games in 2003, but goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere was chosen MVP of the playoffs.
