COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -J.P Dumont broke a tie with 38 seconds left, and Chris Mason made 30 saves in the Nashville Predators’ 3-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday night.
David Legwand had a power-play goal, and Jed Ortmeyer added an empty-netter for the Predators in their second straight victory after a five-game losing streak.
Nashville also has won 11 straight, including three this season, against Columbus dating to April 3, 2006. Dan Fritsche scored Columbus.
Penguins 4, Bruins 2
PITTSBURGH (AP) – Gary Roberts had two goals and an assist, and linemate Georges Laraque added a goal and an assist for the Penguins.
Evgeni Malkin also scored for Pittsburgh, a 5-4 shootout winner in Boston on Thursday night. The Bruins have lost four straight.
P.J. Axelsson and Petteri Nokelainen scored for Boston.
