ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -Corey Perry and Scott Niedermayer each had a goal and an assist, Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 24 saves and the Anaheim Ducks beat Ottawa 3-1 Monday night in a rematch of last season’s Stanley Cup finals.
The victory was the sixth in a row for the defending champion Ducks, while the slumping Senators have won just nine of their last 24.
Todd Bertuzzi had the other Anaheim goal in the only regular-season meeting between the teams this season.
Christoph Schubert scored for Ottawa in the first period after the Senators had fallen behind 2-0.
Former Anaheim coach and general manager Bryan Murray was back in the arena as the Ottawa GM and coach. He returned to the bench after firing John Paddock on Feb. 27 while the Senators were struggling, and Ottawa is 1-2 since he took over the coach’s duties.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Alex Ovechkin scored a hat trick in Washington’s six-goal first period, and he finished with five points.
Ovechkin’s three goals give him a league-leading 52 and made him the first to 50 in the NHL this season.
He was credited with a fourth goal in the third period, but official scorers changed it later, giving him an assist on Brooks Laich’s power-play goal that made it 9-2.
Washington snapped Boston’s six-game winning streak.
Linemate Nicklas Backstrom added three assists in the first period and scored once in the second period. Laich and Matt Bradley scored two goals apiece, and Eric Fehr added three assists.
