DETROIT (AP) -Pavel Datsyuk had two goals and an assist to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-3 win over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night.
Tomas Holmstrom added a goal and an assist, and Kris Draper, and Valtteri Filppula also scored for Detroit. Nicklas Lidstrom had two assists, and Chris Osgood made 19 saves
Robyn Regehr, Dion Phaneuf, and Alex Tanguay scored for Calgary, and Jarome Iginla added three assists. Miikka Kiprusoff made 12 saves before being pulled early in the second period after giving up three goals.
Canadiens 4, Maple Leafs 3, SO
TORONTO (AP) – Alex Kovalev scored two power-play goals, then found the net again in the shootout as Montreal beat Toronto.
Andrei Kostitsyn scored between Vesa Toskala’s legs in the tiebreaker, and Carey Price made a right leg save against Jason Blake to win it in the fifth shootout round.
Guillaume Latendresse also scored for the Canadiens.
Darcy Tucker, Chad Kilger and Mats Sundin, who scored his club-record 400th goal for Toronto with 17.6 seconds left in the third period, beat Price in regulation for the Leafs.
Toronto led twice but couldn’t avoid a fourth straight loss because it failed to capitalize on the power play.
The Maple Leafs outshot Montreal 46-30, but went 0-for-4 with the advantage compared to the Canadiens, who were 2-for-5 and own the NHL’s top power-play unit.
Canucks 4, Ducks 0
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Ryan Kesler scored two power-play goals, and Roberto Luongo made 15 of his 26 saves in the first period to lead Vancouver past Anaheim.
It was the second straight shutout for Luongo, who made 27 saves against Chicago on Sunday. He has three blankings this season and 35 in his NHL career.
Markus Naslund and Matt Cooke also scored, and Mattias Ohlund and Henrik Sedin each had two assists as the Canucks improved to 8-1-2 in their last 11 games.
Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 23 saves before being pulled in the third period as Anaheim lost in regulation for the second time in nine games (5-2-2).
The game marked the return of former Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi for the first time since he was traded away from Vancouver in June 2006. He was a minus-2 with no points.
